GREATER TEXAS FOUNDATION
Since October 2011 Greater Texas Foundation (GTF) has made a multi-million-dollar investment in the state’s first scholarship program designed specifically for the growing number of Early College High School (ECHS) graduates in Texas. This initiative, GTF Scholars Program, was created to increase the number of Texas ECHS graduates who successfully transition to and complete a baccalaureate degree. Barbara Goldberg & Associates has partnered with Design Group International to conduct the program's evaluation since its inception.
WISCONSIN INQUIRY-BASED SCIENTIST-TEACHER EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP (WInSTEP) PROGRAM
Known as the Wisconsin Inquiry-based Scientist-Teacher Education Partnership (WInSTEP) Program, which is part of the NIH SCIENCE EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP AWARD (SEPA) Program, the focus of this effort is to help pre-service and middle and high school science teachers get more students involved in doing classroom-based research with an environmental health focus. Barbara Goldberg & Associates has evaluated the program since 2006.
THE MARYLAND ACTION OF DRUG DISCOVERY AND PHARMACEUTICAL RESEARCH (MADDPR) PROGRAM
The MADDPR Program was implemented by University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) an Historically Black College or University (HBCU). The project is supported by a National Institutes of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS)-Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This SEPA project began its five-year term June 1, 2019. The program provides minority and underserved high school students with hands-on drug discovery and biomedical research training experiences that foster their critical thinking skills, stimulate their interest, and reflect positively on their attitude towards science.
CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY WISCONSIN-ANN ARBOR: A MULTI-STATE PARTNERSHIP TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES & FINANCIAL EFFICIENCY
The purpose of this Department of Education project is to strengthen Concordia University Wisconsin-Ann Arbor’s (CUWAA) ability to retain and graduate diverse, low-income, and/or first-generation students through several measures:

A renovated Academic Resource Center (ARC);

Enhanced student academic support services;

Enhanced student mental/behavioral health services;

Enhanced student services for those with disabilities; and

Additional attention to the specific concerns of minority students.
